Happy Hunting – Terrier Bliss

With the coming of spring, the terriers job duties increase.  Petey, being the full blooded JRT that he is, enjoyed the warming temperatures today and did a little hunting.  And what a hunter he is!  He proudly brought his kill to the back door to show me -  that HE is the keeper of his yard.  So varmits beware! Petey is watching and he will slay you!

Don't Move

So Proud

I killed it for You!

A Gift for Mom!

A terrier needs his terra!

Petey vs. the Snow

Terriers love to dig! Mostly they love to dig in the ground, not the snow!  Petey is determined to find the ground under all this snow!

Where's all the dirt?

This snow is so deep!

I'll just have to dig through the snow first!

I can almost see it!

There it is - My Beloved Terra!

Sled Dog Racing!!!

Not a sport for The Three Jacks!

I spent last Saturday at Punderson State Park, in Newbury, Ohio watching the Sled Dogs!  The race was put on by The Siberian Huskey Club of Greater Cleveland. Had to bundle up like I was going to the arctic, but it was well worth it.  When dogs are doing what they were bred to do, you can see and hear their happiness!  So whether its, herding, go to ground, hunting, retrieving or sled dog racing – a working dog is a happy dog!!!
